The Perth Concert Band is a not-for-profit, incorporated body that relies on income from performances, fundraising, members’ fees, donations and sponsorship.

Welcome

Perth Concert Band is one Perth’s oldest (dating back to 1920) and most respected concert bands. A community band, Perth Concert Band is committed to promoting music as an enjoyable endeavour and its current membership ranges from 14-year old school students to retirees. The nearly 50 members are from all walks of life and levels of musical achievement, including music educators, performers and tertiary music students from both WAAPA and the UWA School of Music.

The band performs at many venues throughout the year with a varied repertoire of classical, jazz, swing, marches, movie themes, rock and roll and arrangements from the world’s best musicals.

Perth Concert Band is always looking for players of woodwind, brass or percussion instruments to join its ranks and offers some instruments for loan.

The band rehearses every Tuesday at Mt Lawley Senior High School from 8-10pm.
